Thanks to the continuing cooperation and support of AirtTouch Cellular, results from all events of the 2000 Ohio High School Swimming & Diving Championships (February 24-26) will be posted to www.swimmeet.com and the Associated Press within minutes of each event's conclusion.
Using a laptop computer located at pool side and wireless data services provided by AirTouch, swimmeet.com will post results immediately upon the conclusion of all prelim events conducted on Friday and Saturday morning as well as all final events conducted on Friday and Saturday evening. Our goal is to have results posted to www.swimmeet.com and the Associated Press no later than 10 minutes after the 'official' conclusion of each event.
Ohio high school swimming fans unable to attend this years's Ohio state meet will have the unique ability to use their personal computer and the Internet to follow the progress of their favorite swimmer and/or high school team as the Ohio High School Swimming & Diving Championships unfold in almost 'real-time' fashion.
This year, diving competition will be held on Thursday and swimmeet.com plans to post complete results from the Girls Division II, Boys, and Girls Division I sessions as each session ends.
With swimming prelims scheduled to start at 9:30 AM and Finals starting at 6:00 PM, swimming fans should check www.swimmeet.com every 15 minutes or so on Friday and Saturday to see up-to-the-minute results from events just completed. Team scores will be posted immediately after the conclusion of each evening's Finals session.
