2002 Florida High School Class 2A Championships - Finals
'Real Time' coverage of this evening's Class 2A prelim session of the 2002 Florida High School Class 2A Swimming & Diving Championships will begin at 7:00 PM.
This evening's Class 2A final session should conclude around 9:30 PM.
Event results are being posted on swimmeet.com immediately following the conclusion of each prelim event. |

New Girls 50 & 100 Freestyle National Records
Christina Swindle of Coral Cables Gulliver Prep continued her recording-breaking performance tonight by breaking National High School records in both the Girls 50 Freestyle and Girls 100 Freestyle while competing in the 2002 Florida High School Class A Swimming & Diving Championships.
Christina's record breaking times were :22.30 in the 50 Freestyle and a blistering :48.90 in the 100 Freestyle.

New Girls 100 Freestyle National Record
Christina Swindle of Coral Cables Gulliver Prep swam a :49.00 this morning to break the Girls 100 Freestyle National High School record.
Christina broke the record during a her morning prelim swim for the 2002 Florida High School Class A Swimming & Diving Championships being conducted today in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

2002 Florida High School Championships - Update
Over the next three days (i.e. Thursday, Friday and Saturday), swimmeet.com will be posting the results of the 2002 Florida High School Swimming & Diving Championships being conducted at the Hall of Fame Aquatic Complex in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
We're planning on posting the Prelim and Final session results as close to 'real time' as possible.

2002 Florida High School Championships
Swimmeet.com is pleased to announce that comprehensive coverage of the 2002 Florida high school swimming & diving championships will be posted on swimmeet.com.
The 2002 Florida high school state championships is a two week tournament consisting of 30 District meets (i.e. each class conducts 10 separate District meets and there are three classes - Class A, Class 2A and Class 3A) and the State championship meet.
The District meets are being conducted all this week (i.e November 11-16) at various sites across Florida. The State championship meet is scheduled for next week (i.e. November 21-23) in Fort Lauderadale, FL.
Results from the first three District meets held on Monday, November 11th are now available:
Class 3A District 1 (Gainesville, FL)
Class 2A District 2 (Tallahassee, FL)
Class A District 1 (Pensacola, FL)

Membership Payment Using Credit Cards
Effective today, users can pay the $10.00 annual swimmeet.com membership fee using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card.
Users choosing to pay by credit card will get immediate access to all the 'historical' meets archived on swimmeet.com.
Users choosing to pay by personal check or money order will have to wait until their checks have been received in order to gain access to all 'historical' meets archived on swimmeet.com.
To become a swimmeet.com member, simply attempt to access a meet that is 6 months old or older. You'll be presented with instruction on how to become a member.
Users are not required to become members to have access to 'current season' meets (i.e. see October 29, 2002 update for more details).

Swimmeet.com Becomes A Fee-Based Service
Effective today, swimmeet.com has become a fee-based service requiring a $10.00 annual membership fee for unrestricted access to all meets archived on swimmeet.com.
The implementation is different from what was originally proposed last February. Here are the details:

Access to meets, when less than 6 months have passed since the last day of competition, continues to be free and unrestricted to everyone. These meets are classified as 'current season' meets.
Access to meets, when 6 months or more have passed since the last day of competition, is available only to members. These meets are classified as 'historical' meets.
It's important to remember that this 6 month demarcation is a 'moving window' - a 6 month span of time measured backwards from the date a user attempts to access a specific meet. |
Under this plan, everyone will have free and unrestricted access to all meets conducted during the 'current season'. Only members, however, will have access to both 'current season' and 'historical' meets.
To become a swimmeet.com member, simply attempt to access a meet that is 6 months old or older. You'll be presented with instruction on how to become a member.
