The GCADA Becomes A Sponsor!

The Greater Cincinnati Auto Dealers Association (GCADA) will be making a financial contribution to the 2018 Waycross Fundraising Campaign everytime someone takes a "virtual" test drive from within swimmeet.com of a pre-owned vehicle available on CincinnatiCars.com.

Clicking any vehicle shown in display ads similar to the one on the rightone above will result in a "virtual" test drive and a financial donation the the 2018 Waycross campaign. The more "virtual" test drives generated - the more money raised. It's that simple!

So, if you're looking for a quality pre-owned vehicle from a reputable new car dealer in greater Cincinnati AND want to help insure the continuation of TV coverage of this year's Southwest Ohio Classic and Southwest District meets, then you're encouraged to 'click' on vehicles shown in display ads on event result pages (psych sheets, prelims or finals).

Let's Continue TV Coverage In 2018!

The 2018 Southwest Ohio High School Swimming & Diving Classic (January 13-14, 2018) and the 2018 Southwest Ohio District Swimming & Diving Championships (February 16-17, 2018) are just around the corner.

Waycross Community Media has provided television coverage of these meets since 1992 and 2001 respectively, as part of their educational access program. These are important meets and TV coverage gives the student athletes, who work very hard at their sport, the recognition they deserve.

As costs continue to increase and revenues decline, it's an ongoing challenge to provide this coverage at no cost to the Classic or District budgets. Consequently, Waycross is again asking for your support in order to cover the costs of HD, multi camera coverage of these two meets by becoming a Meet Sponsor for $500 or an Event Sponsor for $100.

The viewing audience for these meets includes local cable TV and online access (via video on-demand). According to Waycross, these meets receive more on-line hits than any of the other sports programs they cover, including high school football! They also know that many of these hits come from out-of-state, providing widespread recognition and exposure of our talented, hard-working athletes, particularly to college recruiters around the country.

Waycross produces six separate swim programs - two during the Classic (Saturday & Sunday finals) and four during Districts (Division II Boys, Division II Girls, Division I Boys & Division I Girls sessions). Each program runs a minimum of 10 times on local cable TV (Time Warner/Spectrum and Cincinnati Bell Fioptics) and always available online via video on-demand. As a Meet Sponsor, you'll receive recognition during the opening and during breaks on ALL six programs. As an Event Sponsor, your logo or organization's name will be displayed on-screen throughout the broadcast of that event.

In addition to television exposure, meet sponsors will be prominently recognised in the Classic and District meet areas on swimmeet.com. Each Meet Sponsor will have their logo displayed in the footer of the drop-down navigation menu on each Classic or District web page linking to their web site (i.e. see the 2017 Classic for an example). There can be multiple meet sponsors.

This year's goal is $7,000.

Sponsoring is easy:

1. Send a check, payable to WAYCROSS COMMUNITY MEDIA, to Waycross Community Media, 2086 Waycross Road, Forest Park, OH 45240. Write on the check if Meet Sponsor or Event Sponsor (indicate which event).

2. You can submit your sponsorship online at www.waycross.tv/creditcard. Be sure to include "Meet Sponsor" or "Event Sponsor" and the name of the event(s) you want to sponsor in the description field.

The deadline is January 5th. Please send a note to Mr. Chip Bergquist, Executive Director, Waycross Community Media (chip@waycross.org) to let him know "the check is in the mail" (or if you need an invoice).
