Austin Carpenter is the 2024 recipient of The Poseidon Award presented by swimmeet.com to the top male high school swimmer in Ohio for the 2023-2024 season based on the Power Points 100.
Austin will also receive a $1,000 scholarship from swimmeet.com.
Austin is a Sophomore at St. Charles Prepartory School in Columbus, OH and is the 2024 Boys D1 100 Breastroke state champion.
Kyle Goodrich, Austin's coach at St. Charles, has this to say about the 2024 Poseidon award winner:
While he maintains a friendly, relaxed persona, he is incredibly passionate about his swimming career. He's one of the most mature swimmers I've met in terms of knowing his stroke counts and making in-water adjustments. He's able to stay focused throughout the season.
Austin also loves playing water polo for St. Charles. He enjoys the opportunity to celebrate with his teammates.
