Mia Buff is the 2025 recipient of The Amphitrite Award presented by swimmeet.com to the top female high school swimmer in Ohio for the 2024-2025 season based on the Power Points 100.
Mia will also receive a $1,000 scholarship from swimmeet.com.
Mia is a Junior at Bowling Green High School where she maintains a 3.8 GPA and is a 6-time OHSAA D1 State individual qualifier.
At this year's State meet, Mia finished 2nd in Girls D1 100 Backstroke and 3rd in the Girls D1 100 Butterfly. Her highest finishes to-date.
Mia set 2 Northern Lakes League records this year, along with setting new school records in the Girls 100 Butterfly and Girls 100 Backstroke. She also broke the NW District D1 record in both events.
Mia is thankful for her parents, coaches, teammates and friends that have supported her!
Mia has an incredible work ethic that she brings to the pool every day. She is well-disciplined, has a sense of humor and pushes herself to be the best she can be, in and out of the pool.
Mia has verbally committed to the University of Tennessee for the fall of 2026 where she will continue her academic and swimming career.
