Austin Carpenter is the 2026 recipient of The Poseidon Award presented by swimmeet.com to the top male high school swimmer in Ohio for the 2025-2026 season based on the Power Points 100.
This is Austin's third consectice Poseidon Award.
Austin will also receive a $1,000 scholarship from swimmeet.com.
Austin is a Senior at St. Charles Preparatory School in Columbus, OH and is the 2026 Boys D1 100 Freestyle state champion as a member of the 2026 Boys D1 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle state champion relays.
Austin played a major role in St. Charles breaking the Ohio D1 high school state records in all three relays this year (200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 FReestyle Relay). He also broke the state record in the 100 Breaststroke at the district championships.
Austin finished 7th in the 100 Freestyle at the 2025 Junior World Championships in Romania last summer and he competed on the 400 Freestyle Relay that finished third in the world for 18 & under athletes.
Austin is a USA Swimming Junior National Team Member and has been ranked as high as third in the country by various swim rankings.
Austin finished his high school career as a 26-time All American.
Austin has won eight individual and relay state titles for St. Charles and helped St. Charles finish 7th in the country in the 2025 High School Mythical National Championships.
Austin will be attending the University of Texas, who are the defending D1 NCAA National Champions.
