Upper Arlington
- The senior was state champion in both the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke and finishes his tenure with 5 total individual state titles. His backstroke time was 2nd best in the country this year, his 200 IM time was 10th best, and he posted another top-16 time with an in-season 100 butterfly time. Lewis was also part of an in-season 200 Medley Relay team that gave Upper Arlington the top national time in that event this year and a state record.

- The senior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke and finished as state runner-up in the 200 IM. His breaststroke time of 1:01.6 was a new state record and ranked 6th best in the nation this year.

- The freshman led St. Xavier to their first team championship after winning the state title in the 500 Freestyle and finishing runner-up in the 200 Freestyle.

- The senior was state runner-up in the 100 Backstroke and finished 3rd in the 200 IM. His backstroke time was the 7th best in the country.

- The junior was the state runner up in the 100 Freestyle, finished 3rd in the 50 freestyle, and was part of Upper Arlington’s state championship 200 Medley Relay team that set a record.

- The junior finished 3rd in the 400 Freestyle and was 4th in the 200 IM.
- Joe Klebowski (1)

- The senior was 3rd in the 50 Freestyle and finished 4th in the 100 Freestyle. His team won the state title in the 400 Freestyle Relay but posted their best season time with him on it during the regular season.

- The sophomore was state champion in both the 200 and 400 Freestyle, successfully defending his title from last year in the latter. Hove also set a state record in both events and finished with respective national rankings of 13th and 6th.

- The senior made it 3 straight state titles in the 100 Butterfly and did so in state record time. His 51.58 time was the top time in the nation this year.
- Bill Schulte (1)

- The sophomore was state champion in the 100 Backstroke and led off St. Xavier’s state title winning 200 Medley Relay. Schulte’s 100 Backstroke time of 53.5 was the 4th best in the country this year.

- The sophomore was state champion in the 200 IM and tied the state record in the 100 Breaststroke in the preliminaries despite being disqualified at the finals. His preliminary breaststroke time was the 9th best in the country this year.

- The senior was state champion in the 100 Freestyle and was part of Worthington’s state champion 400 Freestyle Relay.

- The junior took full advantage of Keating’s disqualification and came through to win his first state championship in the 100 Breaststroke.
1972
- Bill Schulte (2)

Cincinnati St. Xavier
- The junior was the state champion in the 100 Backstroke for the 2nd straight year, and helped St. Xavier win their 2nd straight title in the 200 Medley Relay. Schulte’s 100 Backstroke time of 52.5 set a new state record and was 2nd best in the country this season. It should be noted that three separate timers at the state meet clocked Schulte at 52.3, a time that was good enough for a new national record at the time he swam it.

- The senior was state champion in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle, and his 50 Freestyle time was ranked 6th in the country this year.
- Mike Grimmer (1)
Cincinnati St. Xavier
- The junior filled in nicely for the 2x defending 400 Freestyle champion and teammate, Paul Hove. Grimmer won that 400 Freestyle and broke Hove’s old state meet record time before helping St. Xavier win their first state title in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Grimmer’s 400 free time of 3:42.18 was 10th best in the nation.

- The sophomore took over Hove’s other best event, the 200 Freestyle, and won that by several seconds for St. Xavier. Olson was then also part of the state title 400 Freestyle Relay for St. Xavier.

- The junior was state champion in the 200 IM and finished 6th in the 100 Backstroke.

- The senior was state champion in the 100 Butterfly and finished 6th in the 200 Freestyle.

- The senior makes his second straight all-star team after finishing 2nd in both the 200 IM and 400 Freestyle. His 3:42.36 time in the 400 Freestyle was the 11th best in the nation this year.

- The senior successfully defended his state title in the 100 Breaststroke.
- Paul Hove (3)
Cincinnati St. Xavier
- It usually takes a win or two high finishes to make the all-star team, but an exception was made for Hove. He already broke his own state record in the 200 and 400 Freestyle events during this regular season, and decided to swim ‘off’ events at the state meet. There, he was runner-up in the 100 Freestyle, and was huge for St. Xavier on the 400 Freestyle relay, running down several swimmers on the anchor leg to hand St. X their first victory in the event. Hove’s in-season state record performances in the 200 and 400 Freestyle times of 1:43.0 and 3:41.6 were ranked 7th and 9th in the nation, respectively.
1973

Cincinnati St. Xavier
- The senior was state champion in both the 200 and 400 Freestyle, setting a new state record in each by a decent margin His 200 Freestyle time of 1:42.0 and 400 Freestyle time of 3:36.0 were both ranked top 3 in the nation. Hove was also part of in-season relays for St. Xavier that were also both ranked top 3 in the nation with their 400 Freestyle Relay setting a new state record at 3:13.5.

- The senior took home a gold medal in the 100 Backstroke and 200 Medley Relay, each for the third straight year. Schulte’s main accomplishment, however, came the week prior at the district meet where his 51.9 finish in the 100 Backstroke resulted in a new national record. Schulte’s leadoff leg in the 200 Medley Relay also helped St. X break the state meet record in that event. Finally, Schulte too was part of that in-season 400 Freestyle Relay that broke the state record and was ranked 3rd in the country.

- The senior was state champion in both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke, and finished with a new breaststroke state record, and national rankings of 16th and 5th in his events, respectively. Keating was also part of an in-season 200 Medley Relay for X that was 2nd fastest in the country this year.

- The senior was state champion in the 100 Butterfly, finished runner-up in the 400 Freestyle, and was part of that in-season 400 Freestyle Relay for St. X that broke the state record and finished ranked 3rd in the nation.

- The senior was state runner-up in the 200 IM and finished 3rd in the 100 Freestyle.
- Bob Krehnbrink (1)

- The sophomore finished as state runner-up in the 100 Butterfly, and was 5th in the 100 Breaststroke. Krehnbrink was also part of St. X’s in-season 200 Medley Relay team that posted the 2nd fastest time in the country this year.

- The junior was state runner-up in the 200 Freestyle, breaking Paul Hove’s previous state meet record in the preliminary session, and he then finished 6th in the 100 Freestyle. It should be noted that Olson qualified first in the 100 Freestyle but missed the final wall at night, resulting in the 6th place. Olson was also part of St. X’s in-season 400 Freestyle Relay that set a new state record and was ranked 3rd in the nation.

- The senior and now 3x all-star led St. Xavier to their 5th straight state team title after winning both the 200 Freestyle and newly added 500 Freestyle. His times were both ranked Top-16 in the country and that 500 Freestyle win gives him a state record. Olson was also part of St X's nationally ranked 400 Freestyle Relay that was swum in-season.

- The junior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke and set a new state meet record in that event with a 1:00.9 that was ranked 12th in the nation.

- The sophomore won his first state title in the 100 Backstroke and finished 4th in the 100 Butterfly.

- The junior makes his 2nd consecutive all-star team after finishing 2nd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Butterfly.

- The senior was state runner-up in the 200 Freestyle and finished 3rd in the 500 Freestyle.

- The senior was the 3rd place finisher in the 100 Backstroke and finished 4th in the 200 IM.

- The junior was state champion in both the 200 IM and 100 Freestyle where he set new state records in both by significant margins. Hudson’s times were 5th and 6th best in the national ranks, respectively, and he also received All-American honors in both the 50 and 200 Freestyle.

- The junior successfully defended his state title in the 100 Butterfly and finished 3rd in the 200 Freestyle. His Butterfly time broke former national champion Bob Alsfelder’s state record and was ranked 9th in the country this year.

- The junior finished as state champion in the 200 Freestyle and state runner-up in the 500 Freestyle.
- Bob Krehnbrink (3)
Cincinnati St. Xavier
- The senior captured the only individual title this year for the state champion St. Xavier squad after he finished 1st in the 100 Breaststroke. Krehnbrink also finished 3rd in the 100 Butterfly and was part of St. X’s nationally ranked 200 Medley Relay which finished 2nd at state. Krehnbrink’s 100 Breaststroke time of 59.2 was ranked 5th in the nation this year.

- The junior successfully defended his state title in the 100 Backstroke and finished 6th in the 100 Butterfly.

- The senior was state runner-up in the 100 and 200 Freestyle and was part of St. Xavier’s state record setting and title winning 400 Freestyle Relay that went 3:12.03.
- Steve Shepard (1)
Cincinnati St. Xavier
- The senior was state runner-up in the 200 IM, finished 3rd in the 100 Freestyle, and was part of St. Xavier’s state record setting and title wining 400 Freestyle Relay.
- Jim Stites (1)

- The senior was a surprise winner in the 500 Freestyle, upsetting favorite Kevin Weldon with a dramatic last 50 charge to take the event.
- Kevin Mills (2)
North Ridgeville
- The senior makes the all-star team for the second straight year despite not winning an event. Although he finished just 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke, he did set a new state record during the preliminary session with a 59.00 before finishing runner-up at finals. The fact that that swim from Mills was the 4th fastest in the entire country this year is what got him on the all-star team.
1976
- Dale Hudson (3)

Upper Arlington
- The senior graduates with an Ohio record 6 individual titles to his name after he again won the 200 IM and 100 Freestyle. Both were once again done in state record time, and Hudson also set Ohio state records in the 200 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle with in-season swims. Hudson’s record times were 1:53.74, 45.61, 1:41.12, and 21.36, respectively. His final national ranks in those 4 respective events were 2nd, 2nd, 6th, and 10th.

- The senior makes his 3rd all-star team after winning both the 200 and 500 Freestyle. In that 500 Freestyle, his time of 4:37 was a new state record, and his 200 Freestyle time of 1:41.5 was a new state meet record.
- Mark DeVore (3)
Upper Arlington
- The senior won his 3rd straight state championship in the 100 Butterfly with a new state record time of 50.4 that was the 3rd best in the country this year. DeVore also finished 2nd in the 200 Freestyle.
- Pat Looby (1)
Canton Glenoak
- The senior won his first state title in the 50 Freestyle and was 2nd in the 100 Freestyle.
- Mark Schlatter (1)
Toledo St Francis
- The senior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke and finished 3rd in the 200 IM. Schlatter’s 100 Breaststroke time of 58.2 was a new state record and the third fastest such swim in the country this year.
- Todd Taylor (3)
Cincinnati Finneytown
- The senior won his 3rd straight state title in the 100 Backstroke, tying a record for consecutive wins, and was also 4th in the 100 Butterfly.

The junior finished as state runner-up in the 500 Freestyle and was 3rd in the 200 Freestyle.

- The senior actually finished as state runner-up to Taylor in the 100 Backstroke, but since Finneytown doesn’t technically have a swim team at this time, Kammerer was awarded 1st place points. He was also 6th in the 200 Freestyle.

- The senior was the only double-event winner at the state meet this year where he finished 1st in both the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke. He was also the only Ohioan to finish with multiple Top-16 national times.

- The sophomore was state champion in the 100 Butterfly, finishing with a 50.1 time that set a new state record and was the 2nd best in the nation this year.

- The junior transfer from Florida was the state champion in the 50 Freestyle and finished runner-up in the 100 Freestyle.

- The senior was state champion in the 200 Freestyle, finished 3rd in the 100 Freestyle, and was part of St. Xavier's state title 400 Freestyle Relay team for the record setting 4th consecutive year.

- The junior was state champion in both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke, setting a new state record in both. Wilson’s times of 49.47 and 51.37 blew away the old state records and were both the top time in the nation this year.

- The senior was state champion in both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. His 1:52.9 time in the 200 IM was a new state record and the 2nd fastest in the nation this year while his 58-second breast time was ranked 10th.

- The senior was state champion in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle. He set a new state record in the 50 Freestyle, and his times of 21.0 and 45.9 were ranked 7th and 5th in the country, respectively.

- The junior was state champion in the 500 Freestyle and state runner-up in the 200 IM. His 500 time of 4:34 beat the old state record by 3 seconds.

- The senior was state champion in the 200 Freestyle, finished 5th in the 500 Freestyle, and was part of St. Xavier’s state champion and record setting 400 Freestyle Relay team that went 3:09.92.

- The junior finished runner-up in the 100 Butterfly and 6th in the 100 Breaststroke. Although he wasn’t able to defend his 100 Butterfly title, his 49.9 time was the 3rd best in the country this year.

- The senior finished 3rd in the 100 Backstroke and 6th in the 200 IM.
- Allan Berlaint (1)

- The senior was a finalist in just 1 individual event, but in that, the 100 Backstroke, he went a 51.9 that was good enough for 2nd place in both the state and the nation. Berlaint also led off St. Xavier’s 200 Medley Relay team that set a new state record and was the 2nd fastest time in the nation.

- For the 2nd straight year, the senior won the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke, and once again, had the top time in the nation in both events. Moreover, he set a national record in both events with a 48.50 Butterfly time at the district meet, and a 51.14 Backstroke swim at the state finals.

- The junior was state champion in the 200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, and led off Firestone’s state title winning 400 Freestyle Relay. His 500 Freestyle and 400 Free Relay team both set new state records while his 200 Freestyle was a new state meet record. That 200 Freestyle (1:41.29), 500 Freestyle (4:32.77), and his 100 Freestyle leading off the relay (46.38) were all Top-16 national times this year.

- The senior was state champion in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, and his 57.61 time in the Breaststroke set a new state record and was the 4th best time in the country this year.

- The senior won the 200 IM by 4 seconds and finished 2nd in the 500 Freestyle despite being under his old state record time set last year.

- The junior was state champion in the 50 Freestyle and was 4th in the 100 Freestyle.

- The senior was state runner-up in the 50 Freestyle and finished 3rd in the 100 Freestyle. His 50 Freestyle was a Top-16 nationally ranked time.
