1977

  1. Tracy Carey (1)
    Cincinnati Princeton
  2. The freshman was the only double-event winner at this, the inaugural OHSAA girls state swimming championship. She won the 100 and 200 Freestyle.
  3. Carolyn Johnson (1)
    Cleveland Orange
  4. The junior was state champion in the 50 Freestyle and runner-up in the 100 Freestyle.
  5. Mary Nielander (1)
    Solon
  6. The sophomore was state champion in the 500 Freestyle and finished as the 200 IM runner-up.
  7. Pam Heggie (1)
    Cleveland Heights
  8. The junior was the 100 Breaststroke champion and 200 Freestyle runner-up.
  9. Marjorie Hill (1)
    Cincinnati Finneytown
  10. The senior was state champion in the 200 IM and was 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke.
  11. Vivian Lee (1)
    Cincinnati Wyoming
  12. The senior was state champion in the 100 butterfly and was 3rd in the 200 IM.

  18. The sophomore was runner-up in the 50 Freestyle and 4th in the 100 Freestyle. Major was also part of Lakewood's state champion 200 Medley Relay team.

  20. The junior was 3rd in the 100 Butterfly and 4th in the 50 Freestyle. Fox was also part of Worthington's state champion 400 Freestyle Relay team.

  22. The senior was state runner-up in the 100 Butterfly and finished 4th in the 200 IM.

1978

  1. Kim Carlisle (1)
    Cincinnati Finneytown
  2. The junior was exceptional at the state meet, winning all 3 of her events and setting records in each. Her victories in the 200 IM and 200 Medley Relay were both state records, with that 200 IM being ranked 3rd in the nation, and her 57.11 time in the 100 Backstroke set a new national record!

    Lakewood
  4. The junior makes her second all-star team after winning both the 50 and 100 Freestyle, both in state record time. Her 50 Freestyle was ranked 3rd nationally while her 100 Freestyle was 9th best in the country this year.
  5. Kim Hillen (2)
    Canton Glenoak
  6. The senior was state champion in the 200 and 500 Freestyle and set a state record in both events. Her 500 Freestyle was 10th best in the nation and her 200 Freestyle was ranked 15th.

  8. The senior was state champ in the 100 Butterfly, setting a new state record in that event, and finished 5th in the 200 IM.
  9. Kathy Burnside (1)

  10. The senior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke and her 1:06.63 time in that event was a state record and finished the year ranked 10th nationally.
  11. Cathy Aschinger (1)
    Upper Arlington
  12. The sophomore was the state runner-up in both the 100 Breaststroke and 200 IM. Aschinger's breaststroke time was ranked 11th nationally.
  13. Laura Fox (2)
    Thomas Worthington
  14. The senior finished as state runner-up in the 100 Freestyle and was 3rd in the 50 Freestyle.
  15. Sue Drake (1)
    Cincinnati Indian Hill
  16. The sophomore was the 500 Freestyle state runner-up and finished 3rd in the 200 Freestyle.
  17. Pam Heggie (2)
    Cleveland Heights
  18. The senior makes her second straight all-star team after finishing runner-up in the 200 Freestyle and 4th in the 100 Breaststroke.
  19. Weezie Czarniecki (1)
    Cincinnati Greenhills
  20. The senior finished 3rd in both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke.

1979

  1. Kim Carlisle (2)
    Cincinnati Finneytown
  2. For the second straight year, the senior won the 200 IM, 100 Backstroke, and 200 Medley Relay, again all in record time. Her 100 Backstroke time of 57.11 bettered her own national record mark by mere thousandths of a second, while her 2:04.29 set another state record in the 200 IM. Carlisle's national ranks in the 100 Backstroke, 200 IM, and 200 Medley Relay were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively.

  4. The senior was state champion in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle, and set new state records in both events this year as well. Her respective times of 23.6 and 51.9 were ranked 2nd and 5th in the country this year.
  5. Cathy Aschinger (2)
    Upper Arlington
  6. The junior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke and finished runner-up to Carlisle in the 200 IM. Her 100 Breaststroke time of 1:04.8 set a new state record and was 3rd best in the nation this year.
  7. Kathy Gallagher (1)
    Cincinnati Finneytown
  8. The freshman was state champion in the 200 Freestyle and state runner up in the 500 Freestyle. Her times were ranked 7th and 13th in the country, respectively.
  9. Karen DiBlasio (1)
    Newark
  10. The junior was state champion in the 500 Freestyle and state runner-up in the 200 Freestyle. Her times were ranked 6th and 15th in the country, respectively.
  11. Jeanne Barkey (1)
    Cleveland Heights
  12. The senior was state champion in the 100 butterfly, state runner-up in the 50 Freestyle, and her nationally ranked 100 Butterfly time of 57.20 set a new state record.

  14. The sophomore was state runner-up in the 100 Freestyle and finished 3rd in the IM with a Top-16 time.
