  1. Susan Wolfe (3)
    Bowling Green
  2. The senior wins an event for the third straight year as she was champion in the 500 Freestyle and runner-up in the 200 IM. Both of her times were top 18 in the nation.
  3. Rachel Gustin (1)
    Cincinnati Seven Hills
  4. The freshman was state champion in the 200 IM and runner-up in the 100 Breaststroke. Her 200 IM time was 12th best in the country.
  5. Melissa Burovac (1)
    Hawken
  6. The senior was state champion in the 200 Freestyle and runner-up in the 500 Freestyle for the state champion Hawken girls’ team.
  7. Tina Silbersack (2)
    Cincinnati McNicholas
  8. The sophomore successfully defended her state title in the 100 Butterfly and was 3rd in the 200 IM. Her 100 Butterfly time was 10th nationally.
  9. Sonja Leiter (1)
    Worthington
  10. The senior was state champion in the 100 Backstroke and 6th in the 50 Freestyle. Her 100 Backstroke time of 56.5 was a half-second off her former teammate Sheri White’s state and national record and was 3rd in the country this season.

  12. The junior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke and 4th in the 200 IM. Her 100 Breaststroke time was ranked 15th in the nation.

  2. The sophomore was state champion in both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Her 200 IM time of 2:03.20 set a new state record and was 4th best in the nation this year, while her 100 Breaststroke time of 1:03.32 was 2nd fastest in both Ohio history and the nation this year.

  4. The sophomore was state champion in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle and her 50 Freestyle time of 23.5 was top 7 in the nation.
  5. Beth Jackson (1)

  6. The junior was state champion in the 100 Backstroke, 3rd in the 100 Butterfly, and part of Ursuline’s state champion 200 Freestyle Relay team. Her 100 Backstroke time of 57.2 was top 10 in the nation this year.

  8. The sophomore makes her 2nd straight all-star team after winning the 200 Freestyle and finishing runner-up in the 100 Freestyle.
  9. Tina Silbersack (3)

  10. The junior was state championi n the 100 Butterfly and 5th in the 100 Backstroke. Her 100 Butterfly time of 56.1 was the 6th fastest time in the country this year.

  12. The sophomore was runner-up in both the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke. Her 100 Backstroke time of 57.4 was 11th best in the nation this season.

  16. The junior was runner-up in the 500 Freestyle and 3rd in the 200 Freestyle.

  18. The junior was 3rd in both the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke and part of Oak Hills’ state champion 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay.

  20. The senior was 3rd in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle.
  21. Cynthia Janssen and Amy Fritch Honorable Mention
    Oak Hills
  22. Both girls were a huge part of Oak Hills’ finishing 2nd to Ursuline. Janssen, a sophomore, was runner-up in the 100 Breaststroke, a 200 IM finalist, and her breaststroke time was top 13 in the nation. Fritch, a junior, was runner-up in the 100 Butterfly with the nation’s 12th best time and was part of Oak Hills’ state champion 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle Relay teams.

1992

  2. The junior is the top all-star for the 2nd straight year after once again winning the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke by significant margins. Her 200 IM time of 2:03.7 was the 8th best time in the country this year and her 100 Breaststroke time of 1:03.29 was 3rd fastest in the country.

  4. The junior successfully defended her state titles in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle.

  6. The senior tied a record by winning her 4th straight state title in the 100 Butterfly. She also finished 5th in the 100 Backstroke, was part of St. Ursula’s state title 200 Medley Relay, and her 100 Butterfly time was the 4th best in the country this year.

  8. The junior led Sycamore to the Girls’ team title finishing as state champion in the 100 Backstroke, 4th in the 200 Freestyle, and part of Sycamore’s state champion 400 Freestyle Relay team. Her 100 Backstroke time of 56.7 was 7th best in the country this year.

  1. Alison Fealey (2)
    Cincinnati St. Ursula
  2. The sophomore led St. Ursula to their first team championship after winning the 200 IM, 500 Freestyle, and anchoring her team to victory in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Fealey’s 200 IM time of 2:01.1 set a state record by over 2 seconds and was the 3rd best time in the nation this year.

  4. The senior successfully completed a ‘threepeat’ in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle, giving her a record tying 6 state titles. Her 50 Freestyle time was 2nd best in the nation this year while her 100 Freestyle was 14th best.
  5. Rachel Gustin (4)
    Cincinnati Seven Hills
  6. The senior and 2x winner of the Gold Star award was disqualified in the 200 IM at the District Meet but rebounded nicely to win her 3rd straight state title in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:02.49 time that tied Kim Rhodenbaugh’s state record. That time was 3rd best in the country this year and her 200 IM District time of 2:03.67 was 10th best.

  8. The senior and now 3x all-star makes it back ont the team after winning her 2nd state title in the 200 Freestyle and finishing runner-up in the 500 Freestyle. Including her 100 and 200 Freestyle wins as an underclassman, she graduates with 3 state titles to her name.

  20. The senior was 3rd at state in the 200 IM, 5th in the 100 Breaststroke, and was spart of Centerville’s state title winning 200 Medley Relay.

  22. The junior was 3rd in the 100 Freestyle and 4th in the 100 Butterfly. She actually scored 1 more state point than Laura Gale (31 to 30) but Gale was given the final spot due to her participation on the championship relay team.

1994

  2. The junior repeated as state champion in the 200 IM, won her first title in the 100 Breaststroke, and was part of state champion St. Ursula’s state title 200 Medley Relay. Her 100 Breaststroke time of 1:02.95 was 3rd best in the country this year while her 200 IM time of 2:02 was 4th best.
  3. Allison Kemmerling (1)
    Rocky River Magnificat
  4. The senior became the first Ohio girls’ swimmer to win all 4 of her events at the state meet as she took first in the 100 and 200 Freestyle and was part of Magnificat’s state title 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay teams.

  6. The senior was state champion in the 500 Freestyle and runner-up in the 200 IM.

The senior makes her 4th straight all-star team and wins her record 3rd Gold Star Award after winning her 3rd straight 200 IM state title, her 2nd title in the 500 Freestyle, and 4th overall relay title after leading St. Ursula to record victory in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Her 200 IM time of 1:59.66 was 2nd best in the nation and a new state record. Her 500 Freestyle time of 4:49.89 was 3rd best in the nation and just off another state record, and she even had an in-season 100 Breaststroke time that was top 14 in the country. Fealey dropped almost 4 seconds from the 200 IM state record during her tenure.

  4. The senior was state champion in the 100 Freestyle, runner-up in the 50 Freestyle, and was part of St. Ursula’s state title winning 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay teams. Her 50 Freestyle time of 23.37 was the 5th best time in the nation and her 200 Freestyle Relay team set a new state record.

  4. The junior was state champion in the 100 Freestyle and runner-up in the 50 Freestyle. Her times of 23.49 and 51.00 were both top 10 in the country.

  2. The senior and now 2x Gold Star winner was state champion in the 50 and 100 Freestyle. Her 50 Freestyle time of 23.40 was 11th best in the nation while her 50.99 time in the 100 Freestyle was 14th best. She was the only Ohio girls’ swimmer with multiple Top-16 times this year.

  4. The sophomore led state champion Hawken for the 2nd straight year. She was state champion in the 100 Backstroke, the 200 IM, and was part of Hawken’s state title winning 200 Medley Relay team. Her 100 Backstroke time was ranked 14th nationally.

  6. The sophomore was state champion in the 200 Freestyle and 2nd in the 500 Freestyle.
  7. Mandy Commons (1)
    Cincinnati Sycamore
  8. The sophomore was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke. Her 1:04.09 time was 12th best in the country.
  9. Erica Rose (1)
    Hawken
  10. The Frehsman was state champion in the 500 Freestyle. Her 4:52.14 time was 12th best in the country.

  12. The freshman was runner-up in both the 100 Breaststroke and 200 IM.

  22. Because there were 3 swimmers this year who won an event and then didn’t final in their 2nd event, multiple high-scoring girls missed the all-star team. Abbey scored 32 points with a runner-up 100 Backstroke finish and 4th place 50 Freestyle finish, while Arnold was huge for state champion Hawken, finishing 3rd in the 100 Butterfly and 4th in the 100 Backstroke while being part of their title winning 200 Medley Relay. Mulshine, an all-star last year, scored just 29 points but was one of just a few swimmers with a nationally ranked swim this year (100 Breaststroke).

1998

  2. The sophomore was state champion in both the 200 and 500 Freestyle, setting a state record in the latter. Her 500 Freestyle time of 4:48.69 was 4th best in the country this year while her 200 Freestyle time of 1:49.76 was 14th best. She won her events by a combined 5.1 seconds.
  3. Erin Phenix (3)
    Cincinnati Ursuline
  4. The junior makes her state leading 3rd straight all-star team after becoming the 2nd girls’ swimmer in Ohio history to win all 4 of her events at the state meet. She was state champion in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Medley Relay, and 400 Freestyle Relay, leading Ursuline to their 2nd ever girls’ team title. Both relays set a new state record.
  5. Kelly Jones (1)
    Kettering Alter
  6. The freshman was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke, runner-up in the 50 Freestyle, and was part of Alter’s state title winning 200 Freestyle Relay. Her 100 Breaststroke time of 1:02.35 was 2nd best in the nation this year and broke the state record set by Kim Rhodenbaugh (1984) and Rachel Gustin (1993).
  7. Tami Ransom (1)
    Cincinnati Ursuline
  8. The freshman was another big part of Ursuline’s dominant state victory, winning the 100 Butterfly, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, and was 4th in the 100 Backstroke. Both of those relays set a new state record.
  9. Sara Jackson (1)
    Akron Firestone
  10. The senior was state champion in the 100 Backstroke and was 8th in the 50 Freestyle. Her 100 Backstroke time was 11th best in the nation this year.

  12. The senior was runner-up in the 500 Freestyle and finished 3rd in the 200 Freestyle.

  22. Rye scored 31 to Mulshine’s 30 but Mulshine gets the edge for being on the winning team and a record setting relay. The next 3 girls scored 30 points including Rose whose 500 Freestyle time of 4:51 was 13th in the nation.

  2. The junior repeated as state champion in both the 200 and 500 Freestyle. Her 1:49.58 time in the 200 Freestyle was 13th best in the country while her 4:45.54 time in the 500 Freestyle destroyed her own state record by over 3 seconds and was the 3rd best time in the nation this year.

  4. The senior makes her 4th straight all-star team and was state champion in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Medley Relay, and 400 Freestyle Relay. That makes her the first swimmer in state history to win all 4 of her events at the state meet, twice. Her 100 Freestyle was 15th best nationally.

  6. The sophomore was state champion in the 200 IM, 2nd in the 100 Freestyle, and was part of Ursuline’s state title winning 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle Relays. Her 200 IM time of 2:01.07 was 3rd best in the nation this year and 2nd best in Ohio history, while her 100 Freestyle best time of 50.70 was 11th best nationally.

  10. The senior was state champion in the 100 Breaststroke, was 6th in the 200 IM, and was part of Sycamore’s state title winning 200 Freestyle Relay. Her preliminary time in the 100 Breaststroke of 1:02.35 tied the state record and was ranked 2nd nationally.

  14. After being an alternate the last 2 years, the senior finally makes her first all-star team after winning the 100 Backstroke and finishing 5th in the 50 Freestyle. Her 100 Backstroke was a Top-16 swim.

  16. The sophomore was 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke and 50 Freestyle and her 100 Breaststroke time was 9th best nationally.
