- Scholarship Fund
- swimmeet.com is creating a scholarship fund to reward performance and excellance in Ohio high school swimming.
Recognizing the tremendous focus, dedication and sacrifice required to perform at a high level over a cruelling three month season, swimmeet.com wants to reward this effort by making substanstial scholarships available to assist swimmers in their postsecondary education without the requirement of continuing competitive swimming after high school graduation.
swimmeet.com will use its Power Points 100 ranking system to determine which swimmers receive scholarships.
For the 2023-2024 season, two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to winners of the Amphitrite and Poseidon awards recognizing the top female and male high school swimmers in Ohio.
Going forward, swimmeet.com wants to increase both the number of scholarships and their respective financial amounts with the goal of making these scholarships contribute significantly towards the cost of a postsecondary education.
Pursuant to Bylaw 4-10-3, Section G of OHSAA's Amateur Bylaw Resource Center, swimmet.com scholarship funds are:
- Available to the recipient upon graduation from high school.
- Payable directly to the postsecondary institution the recipient enrolls in.
